winter in Black & White
To summarize a winter of skiing in a single story would normally be unthinkable… Pages and words of travel, work, skiing from the right to the left of the Alps… an infinite and boring text would come out that nobody ever reads… normally it would be just like that… This year, however, thanks to a end that will mark our history and they will talk about it for the next 100 years and thanks to a January without skis in Patagonia, my skiing season took place in just one month, February… Only a month of skiing for someone who lives from this is a bit tight but what can I do… nothing! Nothing, if not to enjoy the memories of this wonderful month and to tell it in black and white with a selection of photos dear to me
I’m not a professional photographer and I apologize if some professional feels offended but photography is a great passion of mine that started relatively recently but that is giving me a lot of personal satisfaction…
I don’t have my “touch” but I’m inspired by my “masters”: first of all my reference point, the only and inimitable, Giovanni Danieli who always manages to make you dream with even the simplest of photographs, then the legendary Leo (who looks at us from up there), his overwhelming passion was contagious and the last but not least the first that sold me (indeed, given the price, I would say better given) my first camera, Luca Loro
Inspired by them I wanted to share this month in black and white in search of the light now that we are in the dark … (I hope I haven’t been too sweet…)
all the photos were taken in the Dolomites between 28 January and 8 March 2020 (when the lockdown started)…
How about? better get back to guiding?
Surely that is better for me but in these days at home photography is the only thing that keeps me dreaming…
a big thank you to all those (girlfriend, friends and customers) who shared these curves in this incredible month
