La Rigola
Another day, another round…
After yesterday’s beautiful ride on the Canalino della Liberazione, always accompanied by Sara and Luca I return to the Fanis Towers
This time, however, on the Canale della Rigola
The climb is fantastic with a truly breathtaking setting, the photos I think speak for themselves
after a first almost vertical stretch with ice outside the couloir becomes narrower but easier until you almost enter a tunnel and get to a first col
once you have gone down a few meters on the other side, go up the couloir again until you reach the real col
the environment is wonderful perhaps more beautiful than the brother (canalino della Librazione)
after putting on the skis and passing the cornice the descent was fantastic on excellent powder snow, the slope is constant with a very narrow stretch
this is a wonderful descent, but perhaps as regards only the descent, the canalino della Liberazione has something more in my opinion… “de gusiobus”
In general, however, a show!
From the end of the couloir, to change from yesterday, we climbed to the Forcella dei Quaire, we went south on perfect corn snow and traversed to the right up to take the Forcella Grande and descend on an excellent corn snow to the Scotoni refuge in Armentarola
