Skitouring on Cima de Gasperi
driiin … driiin …
– (me) Hello!?
– (Cris) wei Carlo !! where are you? come to the disco!! At the “Factory Club” there is a super concert tonight!
– (me) to the disco?? Criss, what time is it?
– (Cris) it’s 2 o’clock and I’m around Padua… where are you?
– (me) the 2?? hahaha dude in half an hour the alarm sounds… but now I get up to breakfast… I’ll go up to Cima de Gasperi with Fede…
So begins this fantastic adventure on the Cima de Gasperi in the Civetta group… with the phone call of a good friend ready to go dancing… if I think about it… I’m still laughing.
The first light of dawn surprises us when we were already in the middle of the valley of the Cantoni. A wild and magnificent valley surrounded by impressive vertical walls… “it must be cool to climb here” comments Fede fascinated by the Busazza rock which with its almost 900 vertical meters makes your head spin.
We arrived at the Tomé bivouac around 7.30… “who knows if Criss has already gone to bed”… the sun begins to warm up our back and after carrying the skis on the backpack at 8.30 am we were at the top.
From the summit, a 1000-meter vertical wall overlooks the Tissi refuge and Lake Alleghe, a look to the left and, as if by magic, the entire north-west face of the Civetta. What a show. The sunwas starting to warm the snow and it was already time to ski down.
At 10.30 after a perfect skiing on corn snow suspended between overhanging walls and breathtaking views we sat at the Agordo bar to have breakfast satisfied more than ever.
To dance?? Bah! we will go there tomorrow! 😉
one of the most beautiful trips ever made, both for the environment (total wild) and for the skiing…
